ACTIVITIES

The institute has 14 committees organized by discipline, i.e. Risk Management, Human Capital, Competitiveness, Treasury, Corporate Finance, Taxes, Corporate Governance, Ethics and Social Responsibility, etc. Each committee holds monthly sessions to discuss key issues of its specialty. Likewise, bulletins and other technical papers are issued and distributed among membership. Articles are contributed to daily papers and monthly magazines, even electronic ones, like CNN México.

Two committees are key to the mission of IMEF. The Economic Study Committee and the Committee of the Mexican Business Environment Indicator. Both committees are comprised of leading economic specialists who track and forecast macroeconomic variables, providing reference to public and private sectors.

Through its Research Foundation, the Institute issues financial technical books, a semiannual research journal, and organizes an annual research Congress.
The Institute issues a monthly magazine that is distributed to its membership and to general financial executives. This magazine has 40 years of tradition and reputation in the financial sector, its articles are monitored by the Editorial Committee formed by IMEF members.

The institute has 21 chapters across Mexico. Each chapter organizes at least one National Conference, Symposium or Forum per year. Besides, monthly events are also organized by each chapter. However, IMEF’s key annual event is the National Convention, which is held every year in the month of November, to which members of each chapter attend to learn, share experiences, etc.
